I’m Jeremy Lee James, Webmaster for the Southern California Writers’ Conference, Owner of Write Click Web Hosting and Write Click Media, Partner at AuthorEdge.com, aspiring novelist and notorious wordslinger.

My first love is writing–all kinds, but especially novel-length genre fiction. My second love is the web. I’m humbled and priviledged to have integrated these two passions into my life such that:
- A) I’m (increasingly) able to write the stories I’m compelled to write, and
- B) I can share what I’ve learned from the business side of what I do on the web with writerswriters, authors, journalists, memoir-ists, novelists, and scribes and indie-creativesAn indie-creative is someone who unapologetic-ally claims their right to create and to charge money for their work if so desired; someone who repays the freedom granted to an artist with an equal measure of responsibility: to do good and not evil, to share their gift with the world, and to devote themselves daily to the muse. to teach them how to improve their websites and use social media more effectively.
My sincerest hope is, that the Do It Yourself tips and strategies I share with you here on the Wordslinger blog will help you better leverage your website to grow your audience, strengthen the bond between you and your readers, and as a result, sell more books / fill more speaking gigs / make the world a better place.
Because I’m a writer, too, it’s worth noting that every how-to, every tutorial, and every tip I share here on Wordslinger honors the fundamental need of all modern-day scribes: more time to write!
Using the available hours in a day left to write as a filter, really helps me eliminate anything that’s overly complicated, tedious, or inefficient from the Wordslinger curriculum. Writers need simple, actionable, and automated website enhancement and social media strategies. Let’s face it: if you’re spending all your time futzing around with your website and managing your social networks–and you’re not writing new pages–then you’re doing it wrong!
Bottom line, when it comes to successfully balancing your creative expression and output with the infinite opportunities for connecting online, just forget about “Getting Things Done.” Instead, look to Wordslinger to help you Do What Matters as an author / artist / indie-creative.
[And help me spread the word to your peers. Please make use of the sharing buttons below to let others know about Wordslinger, because I can’t do it without you! Thanks!]
